Hunter Rae's Picks for Fall

This season we partnered with local singer & digital creator Hunter Rae and put together some cozy, autumnal looks. We also asked Hunter Rae some questions to learn more about her! Scroll for the interview and to shop her outfits.How would you describe your style?

I would describe my style as ever-changing. I’m inspired by the trends, the classics, and the people I see in my day to day life. I feel as though my style ebs and flows with my mood. Some days I can be super boho and girly, while others you can find me in t-shirt dress and converse!

What key items are included in your stay at home uniform?

I’m all about comfort, especially when it comes to dressing at home. I love a good pair of sweats that are fashion forward enough where I don’t feel like I’m still in my pajamas. I also love layering! Knit crop tops, band tees, and of course, a good cardigan and a pair of fuzzy slippers.

What are some of your favourite fall activities?

Fall is my favourite time of the year for activities because the weather can often be that perfect in between of summer with a crispness in the air. I love a good visit to the pumpkin patch and if you’re local to the Vancouver area, you MUST check out Country Vines Winery attached the patch! We love going there to wander around their little general store, picking the perfect pumpkins, and topping it all off with a nice glass of wine on the patio. I also love to grab a fall coffee, meet the girls for brunch, and have a home décor shopping day where I can switch things up with the seasonal style at our house!

What drove you to become passionate about music?

Music has been apart of who I am ever since I can remember. Growing up, my dad had his favourite songs playing from the moment I woke up to the moment I fell asleep. Singing and writing has always been something I was naturally inclined to do and it will remain one of my biggest purposes in life. I feel like my love for it all really solidified in my early days of school though. Those were some of my hardest years and in a way, music was one of my only friends so I poured everything I had into it.

Where do you pull inspiration for your work?

I pull inspiration from everywhere; and I really mean that. From the conversations I have with my loved ones, to a backroad drive, through music, and most frequently through how I’m feeling in a moment. It’s very important to me to remain honest and transparent with my content. I want people to feel like I’m touching on topics that truly matter and I want to be the same girl on the screen as I would be if we went to grab a coffee together. I love getting the perfect creative shot, but what I have to say will always be the forefront of my work.
